Bass Lessons Blogs Review

Hello bassists, I am goin

g to show you some niche blogs with good content in bass-sphere, especially bass guitar lesson blogs. Recently I visited bass-blog.blogspot.com, bassguitarblog.com and tucsonbassplayer.blogspot.com. That is a nice spot for me searching the information.

The first blog’s theme is simple with Bass image in the head of the blog. I like the content, it’s like Tom Boyd (the writer) here is American-English native speaker since I read it more slang(ly) than the British. I found some missing images and picture, so the writer added the picture but unfortunately his Photobucket membership has been expired. It is rare to update. See through the archives that have been piled there he posted 8 posts/2007, 2 posts/2008, and 3 post in this year. I wonder why he did that but he did that.

No matters about the update, posting, or perhaps his blog theme, I am only interested on his old posting about Bass Guitar Warm Up Exercises Video embedded from Youtube. That is cool stuff; you’d better check it to enrich your Bass skill.

Bassguitarblog.com has also the bass image on the header, said it is dedicated to bass players. It is easy to navigate, on the left we can find the popular articles, and recent comments section indicates good interaction between blog owner and readers. And among others, this blog is highly updated; we can see that from the monthly and recent post archive provided. Beside rich of contents it has subscription feed up on the left side and therefore readers can easily follow the newest blog post.

The last blog is Tucson bass player blog. The design is classic and positioning of ads is a bit annoying. Contents were highly added in 2008, but very rare in this year. However, it is focused on topic, bass player news, videos, and bass playing techniques and humor, which is useful for all readers. Although it is rarely updated lately, the interaction is quite good. The best part of this blog is the links to other bass guitar related blogs and forums.

Messenger Bag

Go anywhere you want, and one thing is always with you, a messenger bag. Of course you bring your private things like agenda, iPhone, your bass guitar shirt etc. and put them inside the bag you carry. To keep your identity stands out, this bag is the right one for bass player. See the logo.

This 100% polyester bag has two spacious compartments and its shoulder strap is adjustable. Durability is guaranteed. The design, however, is too simple. While the color, I see only grey and yellow, not much information about it. Delivery within 2 days, and price is $26.80.

Bass Player Apron

I am sure not all of you love to cook, but I bet everybody loves to eat. Here I want to share a bit my cooking hobby. Exactly I am not going to show how to bake cakes or create some good recipes, instead just how to ‘look’ good while you’re cooking. Note that a bassist might also love to be a chef in his own kitchen, so don’t let yourself messed up. Wearing an apron is a must.

However, what kind of apron is appropriate for a bass guitar player? An adult apron. It’s available in black, white and red and made from a blend of polyester and cotton with extra long tie back waist straps. Price $22.80.

Magic Bass Retro

This is the best design available on this electric bass guitar player online store, in my opinion. I like the double-stripes on the shoulder and double-stitching on the sleeves that add the durability. This shirt is very slim, so if you want looser shirt, it is recommended to order one size up. While I only see two sizes here M and XL.

Shirt material is 100% soft cotton and 6 color combinations are available to choose. And the combinations are fine. Besides the design, the font style and size of the logo is a plus. Magic Bass Retro is sold for $21.80.

Bass Player Buttons

Accessories are one of essential items for bass player lifestyle. This online store for electric bass guitar player has good buttons called Buttons L – Bass Clef Logo. As you can see on the picture, the logo itself indicates your lifestyle as musician.

You can wear the buttons on your hat, bag, shirt or anywhere appropriate. You will get 5 pack for $5,90 with one size of 2 ¼”. Unfortunately, I don’t get any information about which material used to make it, and whether there is any other colors option.
